The Volocopter VC2 is a German single-place experimental electric multirotor helicopter that was built by Volocopter GmbH (formerly called E-Volo) of Bruchsal.

The VC200 was demonstrated unmanned in November 2013 at an enclosed arena in Karlsruhe, Germany. Two prototypes performed unmanned flight tests, with the first manned flight made on March 30, 2016 by Alexander Zosel.
Dubbed the Volocopter, this personal flying machine was showcased at CES by Intel. It’s created by a German startup, which goes by the same name as the machine, and has 18-rotors. During Intel’s keynote presentation the part-drone, part-helicopter was flown across the stage. It’s still a prototype at this stage but it is claimed the vehicle has a flight time of 30 minutes and can travel for 17 miles during one journey.
