Patiala Administration : Special projec to identify unhealthy students in schools

PATIALA: Patiala administration has launched a special project in district to identify school students, who are suffering from various ailments.

Under this new project, selected teachers will identify these students and administration will make arrangement for their free treatment of students. Administration has formed a group of teachers after selecting them from 470 school of district.

These teachers will be given free and special training to identify the students , who are suffering from various diseases. After the identitcation of students these teachers will send their lists to their authorities, who will send that to higher authorities for their treatment. "We would provide free treatment to all students. We have been giving this special training to improve the health of school going kids. There are reports that number of diseases in school going students has been on the rise during last some years. We want to control it " said ADC (D) Anindita Mitra of Patiala.

Some doctors say it all has been happening due to the use of excessive use pesticides and lack of nutrious diet. "The administration should also launch special project to spread awareness about the importance of nutrious diet. If our coming generation gets proper diet, I believe they could fight with all diseases without any problem" said Dr Amandeep. After the start of treatment, doctors will be in touch with school teachers and also conduct medical check camps of all students.
