HSC 12 th results out Maharashtra , girls outdo boys again

t's the results season and anxiety among students is palpable. A day after Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced class X results for all regions, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination’s results on Friday.

The overall pass percentage across the state remained 74.46 with Kolhapur region topping the state with 82.14 per cent. The passed percentage of Pune stood as 82.12 followed by Mumbai with 76.14.

The girls continued to outshine their male counterparts with the overall pass percentage of girls being 79.66 against 70.32 per cent of boys across state.

More than 17 lakh students had appeared for the HSC examinations this year.

The students can check their results on the websites: http://mahresult.nic.in, www.msbshse.ac.in and www.mhhsc.ac.in.

In the wake of unavailability of results following heavy traffic, students can also visit www.hscresult.MKCL and www.exametc.com

Students can also check their results on www.results.bharatstudent.com and www.rediff.com/exams.

The students can get a printout of the result which will be valid for taking provisional admission in junior colleges.

The results can also be obtained over SMS on BSNL mobile (type MHHSC and send on 57766), Airtel (Innova) Maharashtra and Mumbai Circle (type MHHSC and send it on 55077) and Innova Mumbai Circle (type MHSC and send it on 8800654242).

For the first time, the students would be able to get a photocopy of their answer sheets under the Right to Information Act.

Students who have failed in the examination and want to re-appear for it in October should fill in the form between June 12 and 16 at their respective colleges, he said.
