VITEEE RESULTS 2012
Results for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) will be announced on May 4, 2012. Over 1.5 lakh students will be taking the exam on April 21.
Results will be announced on May 4 on various web portals, including www.vit.ac.in, www.indiaresults.com, www.schools9.com, www.globalinfowings.com, www.minglebox.com and www.shiksha.com . Counselling will begin on May 14 and extend up to May 19
Andhra Pradesh has the highest number of students taking the exam followed by Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. There are 10,005 students from VIT’s home state Tamil Nadu taking the exam. Only 20 percent of the students taking the exam are girls.
This is the eighth year that VITEEE will be held. There will be 238 examination centres across 112 cities in India. There will also be two centres in the Middle East.
VIT offers scholarships under the VIT IGNITE Scholarship Scheme for toppers. The first, second and third students for Class 12 in each state will receive 100 percent scholarship for tuition fees. Those in the top 50 will receive 75 percent scholarship on fees while those from 51 to 100 will receive a 50 percent scholarship.
Answer keys with solutions as well as cut-off marks will be available soon after the exam is held on April 21.
