DHARWAD: The All India Democratic Students' Organisation (AIDSO) expressed its anguish over the leakage of Mathematics and Physics question papers in PUC II year examination. AIDSO blamed the examination board for this lapse. AIDSO secretary Sharanabasava said the leakage of papers and postponement affected sincere students and their confidence in the examination authority. He said officials of PU Board should be held responsible for the leakage and criminal action should be taken against those found guilty. Condemning the episode, the body said the government has failed to organize the examination in a fair manner.
Meanwhile, the Physics exam, that was scheduled for Thursday, was also postponed. It was another shocker for students. The exam has been rescheduled for Tuesday (March 27). The news of Physics paper being leaked came on Wednesday night and the students and parents were wondering whether the examination in physics too would be put off. Their fear came true when the PUE Board announced the postponement on Thursday. Now as the Physics paper is re-scheduled for March 27, candidates would be deprived of a day's gap they were getting earlier. Now, parents and students are concerned that the delay in completing the exams might result in a delay of valuation of answer sheets and a subsequent delay in announcement of results. "All this will hamper plans of those appearing for all India competitive examinations, seeking seats for professional courses," complained a parent.
